The employer must organise first aid and designate, from among the staff, trained workplace first-aiders (SST) present during working hours. The regulation sets a general duty to ensure prompt first aid; practice follows the model of at least one first-aider per hazardous workshop or per group of about twenty workers.
Côte d'Ivoire通过国家立法管理职业健康与安全，要求雇主在工作场所提供急救。
The Labour Code requires first-aiders to be trained without prescribing a delivery mode; online theory followed by a practical assessment of skills is accepted.

- Prevention of occupational risks falls to the CNPS DPPSST (articles 127 and 128 of the Social Security Code); a health and safety committee is required in covered undertakings.
