Becoming a foster family in Côte d'Ivoire means offering a protective family environment to a child deprived of parental care. Being ready for common emergencies — through a recognized first-aid and CPR certificate — is part of the expected preparation, in addition to the assessment of the family's capacity.
急救要求
In Côte d'Ivoire, family-based care is overseen by the Ministère de la Femme, de la Famille et de l'Enfant, and foster families must meet affective, social, ethical and moral criteria within the national placement scheme. No text explicitly names first aid, but a current first-aid and CPR certificate from a recognized organization is commonly expected so carers can respond to injuries, choking or cardiac arrest.
Approval and follow-up rest with the competent social services, which assess the home and the family's capacity to care for the child. A first-aid certificate is one element of readiness — kept current — in addition to the assessment, and never a substitute for the expected parenting skills.
